I've been at it for 18 years and the magic just happens without warning. I suspect the secret is to be devoted to the cause, always pursue it, never ease off even for a day.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07454804247569172043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1630370531945018065.post-16025651216366044032014-08-04T14:59:12.428+01:002014-08-04T14:59:12.428+01:00Good to meet up with you at this year's L100 p...Good to meet up with you at this year's L100 presentations after dipping into your splendidly-written blogs over the years, Nick. Your L100 in 2013 sounds like a thing of magic, at least towards the end. Sometimes it just works out that way, sometimes it doesn't. Let me know if you ever find out what makes the difference. Thanks for your excellent words and pictures - much appreciated._andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15909188887975230718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1630370531945018065.post-43764959482714832832013-08-27T14:57:07.711+01:002013-08-27T14:57:07.711+01:00Great write up. Ironically, I met you before the event (the Seth Efrikan running it for the first time) and had a similar turn for the worse before Blencathra - mine was due to patella tendonitis-type on my right.
I had a big sit down before the old coach road, looked at retiring at Dockray but realised there was no point, then somehow got stronger towards Dalemain and eventually finished the beast!
Also, no blisters, no pain, no grief after Dockray - lol :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1630370531945018065.post-36915944925774185522013-08-25T23:54:42.402+01:002013-08-25T23:54:42.402+01:00Great report Nick, and great pictures.
